Leslie Stumpf has been working with Blythe Global Advisors since 2019, leveraging her deep experience to lead the firm’s Tax Accounting practice (e.g. income tax provisions). She is an active CPA, holds a Master of Business Taxation degree, and has over 30 years’ experience with a Big 4 firm in complex income tax matters, spanning enterprises of all sizes and capital structures.
Collaborating with other specialty leaders at BGA, she serves clients on the preparation and review of financial statements, in the interpretation of complex tax law and related accounting treatment, and on understanding the tax implications of significant business decisions and transactions that clients may contemplate.
Leslie was drawn to the firm by its proactive and professional culture. She enjoys helping clients navigate business scenarios by providing proactive guidance to optimize outcomes, given their specific financial situation and objectives. Her favorite part about working with Blythe Global Advisors is collaborating with her colleagues to offer holistic and strategic solutions to clients’ business needs. She is a seasoned professional with a passion for continuous learning and a tremendous work ethic, citing her favorite quote as the following:
“I find the harder I work, the more luck I seem to have.” – Thomas Jefferson
Tax law is often complex, so Leslie works with the client to help them understand “tax speak,” communicating the sometimes complicated-sounding jargon in simpler terms. She recognizes the importance of keeping current with tax law updates and amendments to accounting requirements so she can proactively keep clients apprised of anticipated changes and enable them to plan accordingly.
Outside of work, Leslie is involved with the Orangewood Foundation, which provides resources and assistance to in-need community youth in Orange County. She is part of 44 Women for Orangewood, which is a group of women who contribute to mentoring, education, awareness and fundraising for the foundation and it’s Santa Ana-based charter school, Samueli Academy. She enjoys mentoring and offering support to others that she did not have early on in her own educational and professional career.
Leslie also enjoys spending free time with family, friends, and her dogs. She also practices Pilates, which she began three years ago. She and her husband just celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary, and they have two adult daughters as well as two Great Danes.
Leslie strives to continue learning and growing in all aspects of her life – advancing her professional career, supporting local youth, reading, and increasing her skill in Pilates – and has no plans to slow down anytime soon. Although she has been working in her profession for over 30 years, she loves her job and doesn’t see herself retiring at any point soon.
